Yesterday: 142 orders, $11,480, up 9% from last Tuesday. TikTok Shop added 31 of them. Two things need you: Rose Balm 50ml has 6 days of stock left, and 4 Gorgias tickets are about the same late parcel.

All four are on one ShipStation batch that hasn't moved from the carrier's Memphis hub since Friday. One reply is drafted for the four: an apology, the tracking link, and a note that it moves today. Want them sent?

The short answer

What does Cicada do for Shopify stores?

For a Shopify store, Cicada is an AI agent that runs the daily checks a store manager would. It reads orders, returns and inventory in Shopify, checks shipments in ShipStation, triages Gorgias tickets and drafts the replies, and keeps TikTok Shop orders in the same picture. It texts you the day's sales on the minute you choose, flags stock that will run out before the next delivery, and builds the sheet when you want the detail. You talk to it in iMessage, WhatsApp, Slack or email, and anything a customer would see waits for your yes.

What it does

What your Shopify store does.

01

Texts you the day's sales

Revenue, orders, average order and top sellers from Shopify and TikTok Shop, on the minute you pick. It always names the day it compares with, so the number means something.

02

Watches the stock

Reads inventory in Shopify, works out the days of stock left at the current sales rate, and tells you before a best seller runs out. The detail comes as a sheet.

03

Triages the support inbox

Reads new Gorgias tickets, groups the ones about the same problem, checks the order in Shopify and the parcel in ShipStation, and drafts the replies for your yes.

04

Handles returns

Checks each return against the order and your policy, drafts the reply to the customer and lines up the next step. The refund itself waits for your yes.

05

Finds late shipments

Reads ShipStation for parcels that stopped moving and orders that missed the cut-off, and tells you which customers are waiting before they write in.

06

Keeps TikTok Shop in the picture

Orders, returns and product performance from TikTok Shop beside the main store, so one message covers both. Buyer messages wait for your yes.

Who it's for

Who uses it at a Shopify store.

Store owners

Someone watching the store overnight

The morning sales text, the stock warning and the tickets that need you, before you open the laptop.

Ecommerce managers

The daily checks done before standup

Sales, stock, late parcels and the support queue read and summarized, with the sheet behind it.

Fulfillment leads

Shipping problems found early

Parcels that stopped moving, orders that missed the cut-off, stock that won't last until the delivery.

Support leads

A first pass on every ticket

Gorgias tickets grouped, checked against the order and drafted, so the team answers instead of searching.

Brand founders

Numbers you can text a question about

"How did the bundle do last week" gets a real answer from Shopify, not a dashboard to dig through.

Marketing leads

Know what sold after a launch

Sales by product and channel the morning after, TikTok Shop included, compared with the week before.

Setup

Set up in three steps.

  1. Say what the job is

Describe the role in a sentence when you sign up, or tell the agent in the chat. It writes its own brief, which you can read and change any time.

  2. Connect the apps it needs

One click for most apps. Each one can be Full, Ask first or Read-only, for every agent in the workspace.

  3. Link your phone, or don't

Scan a code and it's in your iMessage or WhatsApp. Or keep it in the app, Slack and email. Hand it the first job in the same message.

Control

Nothing goes out without your yes.

Nothing goes out without your yes

Anything that can't be undone, and any message to another person, waits for your OK. Approve with a 👍 in the chat, or set a role to full autonomy once you trust it.

Read-only is a real lock

Make any app read-only and the agent can look but never change a thing. It applies to every agent in the workspace, from their next run.

Every step on the record

Each run shows what it read, what it did and what it sent, step by step, in the Activity tab. Corrections you make stick.

What it won't do.

Won't pretend

If it couldn't confirm something, it leaves it out and says so. A number without a source doesn't go in a message.

Won't go around you

It never messages anyone on your behalf unless you asked, never spends money, and never makes a judgement call about money on its own.

Won't read what isn't shared

Teammates' agents work only through the apps the workspace shares. Your inbox and your personal apps stay under your own login.

  2. 02

"which products run out before the next delivery on the 14th?"

You get: A sheet of products with days of stock left at the current sales rate, the ones that won't last flagged first.

  3. 03

"go through the Gorgias tickets from the weekend and draft replies"

You get: Tickets grouped by problem, each checked against the order and the parcel, with a reply drafted for your yes.

  4. 04

"Every weekday at 8 text me yesterday's sales, Shopify and TikTok Shop together."

You get: A recurring morning message that lands on the minute, with both channels and the day it compared against.

  5. 05

    "why hasn't order 4417 shipped"

You get: What Shopify and ShipStation say about it: when it was paid, where it is now, and what's holding it.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Does it connect to Shopify directly?

Yes. Connect your store once and it reads orders, products, inventory, customers and returns. Set Shopify to Ask first or Read-only and it can look but never change a thing without you.

Does it work with TikTok Shop and ShipStation?

Both. TikTok Shop orders, returns and product performance sit beside the main store, and ShipStation shipments and tracking are read on every check.

Can it answer my customers?

It drafts replies in Gorgias, checked against the order and the parcel. They go out after your 👍 in the chat, or on their own if you give it full autonomy once you trust it.

Where do I talk to it?

iMessage, WhatsApp, Slack, email or the web app. The morning sales text arrives where you choose, and it answers in the same thread you text it in.

Will it issue refunds or change prices?

Not on its own. Refunds, price changes and anything that can't be undone wait for your OK, and it never makes a money decision by itself. If it couldn't confirm a number, it leaves it out and says so.

Can it make reports and sheets?

Yes. Sales by product, days of stock, return reasons: it builds the sheet and sends the link. Ask for changes and it updates the same link.

Can my team use it too?

Yes. Everyone in your workspace gets their own agent. Shopify, ShipStation and Gorgias are connected once for the team; personal apps like your inbox stay under your own login.

Does it learn how we do things?

It keeps a memory of your store, your people and your rules, like your returns window and your reorder points, that you can read and edit in the app. Corrections stick.

What does it cost?

Every workspace starts with 300 free credits. You add a card at sign-up and nothing is charged until you run low; then it's $25 for 200 credits, with no subscription. A quick reply is about 5 credits and a typical run under 20; plans start at $99 a month.
