Do I need to install anything?
No. Cicada texts you from its own number over iMessage. You link your phone once by texting a short code, and from then on you just text it.
Can it join a group chat?
Yes. Add it to an iMessage group and it only speaks when someone names it. It remembers who is who and does the work in the thread, so everyone sees the result.
What can I send it?
Text, voice notes, screenshots, photos, PDFs, spreadsheets and documents, several at a time. It reads images and PDFs directly and opens the rest when it needs them.
Will it do things without asking?
You choose. Each agent has an autonomy setting, from asking before anything to fully on its own, and any app can be made read-only. When it needs approval it asks in the thread.
