Cicada for Slack

An autonomous AI teammate that works inside your Slack.

Cicada lets you deploy autonomous AI agents in plain English, no code. Describe what you want an agent to do, connect your tools, and it runs on its own. In Slack, your agent becomes a real teammate: DM it or @mention it in any channel and it replies in the conversation, looks things up across your connected apps, and gets work done. Every action that changes something is previewed and approval-gated, so you stay in control.

Install Cicada for Slack

Cicada installs through your Cicada workspace (so each agent connects to the right Slack workspace with the scopes you approve):

  1. Create a free account at cicadalabs.io.
  2. Create an agent by describing what you want it to do.
  3. Open the agent's Apps tab and click Connect Slack — you'll approve the permissions in Slack's standard OAuth screen.
  4. DM your agent or @mention it in a channel. It replies right there.

What your agent can do in Slack

Reply to DMs and @mentions in the conversation; read channel history for context; post updates, summaries, and digests; monitor channels for things that matter; create, rename, and archive channels to keep the workspace organized; and react to messages. It only acts within the scopes you grant, and changes are approval-gated by default.
