AI Recruiter

An AI recruiter you text between interviews.

It sources candidates for the role, writes a summary of each one, sends the screening questions and books the interviews, from the messages you already use. No candidate hears from it until you've said yes.

The short answer

What is an AI recruiter?

An AI recruiter is an agent that does the legwork of a hiring process: finds people who fit the role, reads their profiles and resumes, writes a short summary of each, sends screening questions, books interviews and keeps the pipeline up to date. Cicada's works with LinkedIn, Bullhorn and your own inbox and calendar, keeps the pipeline in a sheet or your ATS, and talks to you in iMessage, WhatsApp, Slack or email. It contacts a candidate only after your yes, and the decision to hire stays with a person.

What it does

What your AI recruiter does.

01

Sources candidates

Searches your Bullhorn database, then LinkedIn and the web, for people who fit the role you described, with the people you already know at the top of the list.

02

Reads every resume

Resumes and profiles as PDFs, Word files or links. It writes a short summary against the role: what fits, what's missing and what to ask.

03

Sends screening questions

Emails the questions you'd ask on a first call, from your own inbox after your yes, and lines up the answers next to each name.

04

Books the interviews

Offers times from your calendar, sends the invite with the video link and moves it when plans change. The hiring manager's calendar too, if it's shared with the workspace.

05

Keeps the pipeline

Every candidate, stage and next step in a Google Sheet or in Bullhorn, updated as things happen, with a summary on the schedule you choose.

06

Takes the interview notes

Joins the Zoom, Google Meet or Teams interview as your notetaker, says it's taking notes, and sends you the answers and the interviewer's points when it ends.

Setup

Set up in three steps.

  1. Say what the job is

Describe the role in a sentence when you sign up, or tell the agent in the chat. It writes its own brief, which you can read and change any time.

  2. Connect the apps it needs

One click for most apps. Each one can be Full, Ask first or Read-only, for every agent in the workspace.

  3. Link your phone, or don't

Scan a code and it's in your iMessage or WhatsApp. Or keep it in the app, Slack and email. Hand it the first job in the same message.

Control

Nothing goes out without your yes.

Nothing goes out without your yes

Anything that can't be undone, and any message to another person, waits for your OK. Approve with a 👍 in the chat, or set a role to full autonomy once you trust it.

Read-only is a real lock

Make any app read-only and the agent can look but never change a thing. It applies to every agent in the workspace, from their next run.

Every step on the record

Each run shows what it read, what it did and what it sent, step by step, in the Activity tab. Corrections you make stick.

What it won't do.

Won't pretend

If it couldn't confirm something, it leaves it out and says so. A number without a source doesn't go in a message.

Won't go around you

It never messages anyone on your behalf unless you asked, never spends money, and never makes a judgement call about money on its own.

Won't read what isn't shared

Teammates' agents work only through the apps the workspace shares. Your inbox and your personal apps stay under your own login.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Where do I talk to it?

iMessage, WhatsApp, Slack, email or the web app. Link your phone with a code at sign-up and it answers in the same thread you text it in. In a group chat it stays quiet until someone names it.

Will it message candidates on its own?

No. Every email or LinkedIn message to a candidate waits for your yes in the chat, unless you've given it full autonomy. It sends from your own inbox and logs each one.

Does it decide who gets hired?

No. It summarizes, ranks against the brief you gave it and says why. Who moves forward and who gets an offer is a person's call.

Does it work with my ATS?

It works with Bullhorn directly, and with any other applicant tracking system that's among the 1,000+ apps you can connect. If yours isn't, it keeps the pipeline in a Google Sheet.

Can it use LinkedIn?

Yes. It searches people and companies through your own LinkedIn login. Connection requests and messages wait for your yes, like everything else that reaches another person.

Can it join interviews?

Yes, as your notetaker on Google Meet, Zoom, Teams or Webex. It says it's taking notes and sends you the answers and the interviewer's points when the call ends.

Can my team use it?

Yes. Everyone in your workspace gets their own agent. Bullhorn and shared calendars are connected once for the team; each recruiter's inbox and LinkedIn stay under their own login.

What does it cost?

Every workspace starts with 300 free credits. You add a card at sign-up and nothing is charged until you run low; then it's $25 for 200 credits, with no subscription. A quick reply is about 5 credits and a typical run under 20; plans start at $99 a month.
