why did the pricing page drop?
Cicada · 10:18 AM
In Search Console it slid from page one to page two for "rental management software" over three weeks. Two things changed: our title was shortened on the 2nd, and a competitor published a comparison page that now ranks above us. I've written three title options and a brief for a comparison page of our own.

The short answer

What is an AI SEO specialist?

An AI SEO specialist is an agent that does the research and housekeeping search work needs: keyword and competitor research, page audits, title and description rewrites, content briefs and a regular ranking report. Cicada's searches the web and reads competitors' pages with its own browser, reads Google Search Console and Google Analytics when you connect them, and writes its findings as sheets and documents. You reach it in Slack, WhatsApp, iMessage or email. It can draft a new page, but a person reviews and publishes it.

What it does

What your AI SEO specialist does.

01

Researches keywords

Searches the web, reads the pages that rank, and pulls your own queries from Google Search Console into a keyword sheet grouped by topic and intent.

02

Sizes up competitors

Reads competitors' pages with its own browser: what ranks, how the pages are built, what they publish. Semrush or Ahrefs data too, if you connect them.

03

Audits your pages

Checks titles, descriptions, headings, internal links and thin pages across the site, and writes a fix list in priority order.

04

Rewrites titles and descriptions

Two or three options per page, each with its character count, written for the query the page should win.

05

Writes content briefs

The target query, the questions to answer, the sections, what the top pages cover and what they miss. Ready for a writer, or for its own draft.

06

Reports rank and traffic weekly

Every Monday on the minute: positions, clicks and the pages that moved, from Search Console and Google Analytics, with a note on why.

Who it's for

Who hires an AI SEO specialist.

Founders

SEO without an agency retainer

The research, the audit and a weekly report, so you know what to fix first.

Content teams

Briefs that start from data

Each piece starts from what people search for and what already ranks.

Agencies

A report per client, on time

Each client's Search Console read every week and written up in their own sheet.

Ecommerce brands

Product pages checked

Titles and descriptions across the catalog audited and rewritten in a sheet your team can apply.

Local businesses

Showing up nearby

Location and service pages checked against what people nearby actually search for.

Marketing managers

One clear answer each week

What moved, why, and the one fix worth making, in a single message.

Setup

Set up in three steps.

  1. Say what the job is

Describe the role in a sentence when you sign up, or tell the agent in the chat. It writes its own brief, which you can read and change any time.

  2. Connect the apps it needs

One click for most apps. Each one can be Full, Ask first or Read-only, for every agent in the workspace.

  3. Link your phone, or don't

Scan a code and it's in your iMessage or WhatsApp. Or keep it in the app, Slack and email. Hand it the first job in the same message.

Control

Nothing goes out without your yes.

Nothing goes out without your yes

Anything that can't be undone, and any message to another person, waits for your OK. Approve with a 👍 in the chat, or set a role to full autonomy once you trust it.

Read-only is a real lock

Make any app read-only and the agent can look but never change a thing. It applies to every agent in the workspace, from their next run.

Every step on the record

Each run shows what it read, what it did and what it sent, step by step, in the Activity tab. Corrections you make stick.

What it won't do.

Won't pretend

If it couldn't confirm something, it leaves it out and says so. A number without a source doesn't go in a message.

Won't go around you

It never messages anyone on your behalf unless you asked, never spends money, and never makes a judgement call about money on its own.

Won't read what isn't shared

Teammates' agents work only through the apps the workspace shares. Your inbox and your personal apps stay under your own login.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Where do I talk to it?

WhatsApp, iMessage, Slack, email or the web app. Ask in a sentence and the sheet or the brief comes back as a link in the same chat.

Does it change my website?

No. It drafts titles, descriptions and new pages as sheets and documents, and a person makes the change and publishes.

Where does the ranking data come from?

Google Search Console and Google Analytics, connected with one click and read-only if you like, plus Semrush or Ahrefs if you have them. If a number isn't in a connected app, it says so.

Can it see what competitors rank for?

It searches the queries and reads the pages that rank with its own browser. For search volumes and full competitor keyword lists, connect Semrush or Ahrefs.

What won't it do?

It won't publish, won't buy links or ads, won't spend money, and won't report a number it couldn't confirm.

How does it learn our site?

Tell it your priority pages, products and rules once. It keeps them in a memory you can read and edit in the Brain tab, and corrections stick.

Can my team use it too?

Yes. Everyone in your workspace gets their own agent. Shared apps are connected once for the team; personal apps like your inbox stay under your own login.

What does it cost?

Every workspace starts with 300 free credits. You add a card at sign-up and nothing is charged until you run low; then it's $25 for 200 credits, with no subscription. A quick reply is about 5 credits and a typical run under 20; plans start at $99 a month.
