Read all 18 lines. 15 match Shopify. Three don't: Lavender 50ml shows 120 in Shopify and 96 on your sheet, Cedar soap 40 against 52, and the travel kit 12 against 0. Want me to update Shopify to your counts?

Updated Lavender and Cedar. Travel kit left at 12 and on tomorrow's recount list. Lavender is now at 9 days of stock, under your 14-day line.

The short answer

What is an AI inventory manager?

An AI inventory manager is an agent that keeps track of what you have, how fast it is selling and when to reorder. Cicada's reads stock and orders from Shopify, ShipStation or MRPeasy, works out days of stock for each product, and messages you when one drops below the line you set. It reconciles counts: send a photo of the shelf or the count sheet and it compares the numbers with the system and lists the differences. Every week it writes a stock sheet on a permanent link. It changes stock levels only when you allow it.

What it does

What your AI inventory manager does.

01

Days of stock for every product

Reads stock and the last weeks of sales from Shopify, ShipStation or MRPeasy and works out how many days each product has left at the current pace.

02

Reorder alerts

Messages you when a product drops below the days of stock you set, with how much it sold last month and when the last order arrived.

03

Counts reconciled from a photo

Send a photo of the shelf, the count sheet or a spreadsheet. It reads the numbers, compares them with the system and lists every difference.

04

Stock corrected with your yes

Fixes stock levels in Shopify or MRPeasy after a count, once you say so. Set the app to Ask first and every change waits for you.

05

A weekly stock sheet

Every Monday a sheet on a permanent link: on hand, days left, on order and what to reorder, in your company's colors.

06

Slow movers flagged

Lists the products that haven't sold in weeks and how many units are sitting on the shelf, so you can decide what to discount or stop buying.

Who it's for

Who hires an AI inventory manager.

Shopify stores

Never sold out by surprise

Days of stock on every product, with an alert while there's still time to reorder.

Manufacturers

Components before the line stops

MRPeasy stock read against open manufacturing orders, with the shortfalls listed.

Warehouse leads

Counts that match the system

Photos of count sheets reconciled the same afternoon, with every difference listed.

Restaurants

Stock you can check by text

Send a photo of the walk-in count and get back what's under the par levels you set.

Wholesale brands

Stock across channels

Your store and your wholesale sheet read together, so a big order doesn't empty the shelf.

Founders

Inventory without the spreadsheet habit

A weekly stock sheet and alerts, without anyone keeping one up by hand.

Setup

Set up in three steps.

  1. Say what the job is

Describe the role in a sentence when you sign up, or tell the agent in the chat. It writes its own brief, which you can read and change any time.

  2. Connect the apps it needs

One click for most apps. Each one can be Full, Ask first or Read-only, for every agent in the workspace.

  3. Link your phone, or don't

Scan a code and it's in your iMessage or WhatsApp. Or keep it in the app, Slack and email. Hand it the first job in the same message.

Control

Nothing goes out without your yes.

Nothing goes out without your yes

Anything that can't be undone, and any message to another person, waits for your OK. Approve with a 👍 in the chat, or set a role to full autonomy once you trust it.

Read-only is a real lock

Make any app read-only and the agent can look but never change a thing. It applies to every agent in the workspace, from their next run.

Every step on the record

Each run shows what it read, what it did and what it sent, step by step, in the Activity tab. Corrections you make stick.

What it won't do.

Won't pretend

If it couldn't confirm something, it leaves it out and says so. A number without a source doesn't go in a message.

Won't go around you

It never messages anyone on your behalf unless you asked, never spends money, and never makes a judgement call about money on its own.

Won't read what isn't shared

Teammates' agents work only through the apps the workspace shares. Your inbox and your personal apps stay under your own login.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Where do I talk to it?

iMessage, WhatsApp, Slack, email or the web app. Link your phone with a code at sign-up and it answers in the same thread you text it in. In a group chat it stays quiet until someone names it.

Where does it get the stock numbers?

From the apps you connect: Shopify, ShipStation, MRPeasy, TikTok Shop, or a Google Sheet if that's where stock lives. It works out days of stock from the recent sales in the same apps.

Can it really count from a photo?

It reads the numbers on a count sheet, a label or a photo of a spreadsheet and compares them with the system. It tells you which lines it couldn't read clearly instead of guessing them.

Will it change my stock levels?

Only when you allow it. Make Shopify or MRPeasy Ask first and every change waits for your yes, or Read-only and it can look but never change a thing.

Does it place reorders?

No. It tells you what to reorder and how much sold last month, and it can draft the order for your approval. It never places or pays for an order itself.

Can it cover more than one location?

Yes, as long as each location's stock is in an app or a sheet it can read. Ask about one location or all of them together.

Can my team use it too?

Yes. Everyone in your workspace gets their own agents. The store and the stock sheet are connected once for the team, so the warehouse and the office see the same numbers.

What does it cost?

Every workspace starts with 300 free credits. You add a card at sign-up and nothing is charged until you run low; then it's $25 for 200 credits, with no subscription. A quick reply is about 5 credits and a typical run under 20; plans start at $99 a month.
