1,840 visitors since the 19th. The annual-first variant is at 13.1% trial starts against 11.4% for control. Not enough visitors to call it yet; at this rate it reads cleanly by next Monday. Updated on the experiments board.

The short answer

What is an AI head of growth?

An AI head of growth is an agent that keeps the growth numbers honest and the experiments moving: it pulls the funnel from your analytics app, CRM and billing every week, tracks each experiment from hypothesis to result, researches the landing pages and campaigns your competitors run, and writes the weekly growth report people actually read. Cicada's does that from Slack, iMessage, WhatsApp or email, works in the apps you connect, and reports on the minute, every Monday. It doesn't buy ads or ship code; it brings you the numbers and the next test.

What it does

What your AI head of growth does.

01

Pulls the funnel

Visits, sign-ups, activation, trial to paid and churn from your analytics app, HubSpot or Salesforce, and Stripe or Shopify, by channel, as a sheet with this week next to last.

02

Tracks every experiment

Hypothesis, start date, sample, result, decision, in Notion, Airtable or a sheet. It updates the numbers, says when a test can be called, and reminds you what's still running.

03

Writes the weekly report

Monday at 8: what moved, why, which experiments concluded, what to run next. A message and a sheet, on the minute, in words a founder reads on a phone.

04

Researches campaigns and pages

Reads competitors' landing pages, pricing pages and launch posts with its own browser, and writes up what they changed and what's worth testing.

05

Drafts the next test

The variant copy, the page outline, the email: as a document in your branding for the person who ships it. It doesn't ship the page itself.

06

Watches the channels

A sign-up spike from a new referrer, a channel going quiet, a paid campaign whose conversion dropped: flagged the day it happens, with the numbers.

Founders

Growth before a growth hire

The funnel in a sheet every Monday, the experiments tracked, the next test drafted, without a dashboard you forget to open.

Heads of growth

The reporting and research done for you

Takes the Monday numbers, the experiment log and the competitor reading so you spend the week deciding what to run.

Marketing leads

Campaigns measured, not guessed

Each campaign's sign-ups and trial starts next to its cost, from the CRM and billing, the week it runs.

Product-led teams

Activation watched daily

Which sign-ups reached the first value step and which stalled, read from your analytics app, flagged the day it changes.

E-commerce owners

Store growth by channel

Orders, new customers and repeat rate from Shopify by channel, with the campaign research for the next launch.

Agencies

Client growth reports on time

Every client's funnel and experiments in a branded report, Monday morning, built from the apps they connect.

Setup

Set up in three steps.

  1. Say what the job is

Describe the role in a sentence when you sign up, or tell the agent in the chat. It writes its own brief, which you can read and change any time.

  2. Connect the apps it needs

One click for most apps. Each one can be Full, Ask first or Read-only, for every agent in the workspace.

  3. Link your phone, or don't

Scan a code and it's in your iMessage or WhatsApp. Or keep it in the app, Slack and email. Hand it the first job in the same message.

Control

Nothing goes out without your yes.

Nothing goes out without your yes

Anything that can't be undone, and any message to another person, waits for your OK. Approve with a 👍 in the chat, or set a role to full autonomy once you trust it.

Read-only is a real lock

Make any app read-only and the agent can look but never change a thing. It applies to every agent in the workspace, from their next run.

Every step on the record

Each run shows what it read, what it did and what it sent, step by step, in the Activity tab. Corrections you make stick.

What it won't do.

Won't pretend

If it couldn't confirm something, it leaves it out and says so. A number without a source doesn't go in a message.

Won't go around you

It never messages anyone on your behalf unless you asked, never spends money, and never makes a judgement call about money on its own.

Won't read what isn't shared

Teammates' agents work only through the apps the workspace shares. Your inbox and your personal apps stay under your own login.

Things to ask your AI head of growth.

  1. 01

"Pull the funnel for last week by channel: visits, sign-ups, activated, paid. Compare to the week before."

You get: A sheet with the funnel by channel, this week next to last, and a short message on what moved and the likely reason.

  2. 02

"Log a new experiment: annual plan first on the pricing page, hypothesis is more trial starts, 50/50 split from today."

You get: A row on the experiments board with the hypothesis, start date and the metric, and a weekly check scheduled to update the result.

  3. 03

"Read the pricing pages of Northwind and Acme and tell me what they changed since last quarter."

You get: A one-page write-up from its own browser: what each page shows now, what moved, and two things worth testing.

  4. 04

"Draft the launch email for the new reporting feature. Three paragraphs, one link, in our voice."

You get: A document in your branding, shared as a link, for the person who sends it from your email tool.

  5. 05

"Every Monday at 8 send me the growth report: what moved, why, experiments concluded, what to run next."

You get: A message and a sheet on the minute, built from your analytics app, CRM, billing and the experiments board.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Where do I talk to it?

Slack, iMessage, WhatsApp, email or the web app. Link your phone with a code at sign-up and it answers in the same thread. In a channel it stays quiet until someone names it.

Where do the numbers come from?

The analytics app your workspace connects, HubSpot or Salesforce for the pipeline, Stripe or Shopify for revenue, and any sheet you keep. It says which source each number came from and never fills a gap with a guess.

Does it buy or manage ads?

No. It isn't an ad-buying platform. It reads the results you connect, tells you what the campaign did, and drafts the next one; you or your agency place the spend.

Can it ship a landing page?

It writes the copy and the outline as a document and reads your competitors' pages with its own browser. Building the page is handed to the person or tool that owns your site.

How does it track experiments?

In Notion, Airtable or a sheet, one row per test: hypothesis, start, sample, result, decision. It updates the numbers each week and tells you when a result can be called.

What won't it do?

It won't spend money, won't send a campaign without your yes, won't state a conversion rate it couldn't read from a source, and won't call a test early to make the report look better.

How does it know what matters to us?

It keeps a memory of your metrics, your channels and your rules, which you can read and edit in the app. Tell it "activation means a first report created" once and that sticks.

Can the team use it?

Yes. Everyone in the workspace gets their own agent. The analytics app, the CRM and billing are connected once for the team; a coordinator can split a big research job between specialists and send you one answer.

What does it cost?

Every workspace starts with 300 free credits. You add a card at sign-up and nothing is charged until you run low; then it's $25 for 200 credits, with no subscription. A quick reply is about 5 credits and a typical run under 20; plans start at $99 a month.
