AI Supply Chain Analyst

An AI supply chain analyst that reads the news for your products.

@Cicada did anything change on duties for the ceramic diffusers this week
Cicada · 11:22 AM
Yes. A notice published Tuesday raises duty on that product class from 6% to 9% for goods entering after 1 Dec. Your next two POs from Ashby Ceramics land after that date. At 9%, landed cost per unit goes from $7.82 to $8.05.

and how late has Ashby been this year
Cicada · 11:25 AM
Nine POs this year, on average 6 days past the promised date, three of them over 10 days. The slowest of your four suppliers. The scorecard is on the second tab of the same sheet.

The short answer

What is an AI supply chain analyst?

An AI supply chain analyst is an agent that turns your orders, shipments and supplier records into answers: how long each supplier takes, which shipments are late, what a product costs once freight and duty are added, and which suppliers keep their promises. Cicada's reads ShipStation, MRPeasy, your inbox and your sheets, builds landed-cost sheets and supplier scorecards you can share as links, and searches the web on a schedule for tariff and freight news about the products and routes you name. It cites where each figure came from and leaves out what it couldn't confirm.

What it does

What your AI supply chain analyst does.

01

Real lead times

Measures the days between each PO and its arrival, by supplier and product, from MRPeasy, your PO sheet or the confirmation emails.

02

Late shipments found

Checks every open shipment against its promised date in ShipStation and your inbox and lists the ones that are late or have stopped moving.

03

Landed-cost sheets

Adds freight, duty and fees to the unit price for each product and shares the sheet on a permanent link, with the source of every figure.

04

Supplier scorecards

On-time rate, average delay, price changes and quality notes per supplier, built from your own records and refreshed on the schedule you set.

05

Tariff and freight news watched

Searches the web on a schedule for duty, tariff and freight news on the products and routes you name, and messages you when something changed.

06

Answers the what-if

"What happens to margin if duty goes to 9%" becomes a sheet with the before and after per product, worked out in code from your numbers.

Setup

Set up in three steps.

  1. Say what the job is

Describe the role in a sentence when you sign up, or tell the agent in the chat. It writes its own brief, which you can read and change any time.

  2. Connect the apps it needs

One click for most apps. Each one can be Full, Ask first or Read-only, for every agent in the workspace.

  3. Link your phone, or don't

Scan a code and it's in your iMessage or WhatsApp. Or keep it in the app, Slack and email. Hand it the first job in the same message.

Control

Nothing goes out without your yes.

Nothing goes out without your yes

Anything that can't be undone, and any message to another person, waits for your OK. Approve with a 👍 in the chat, or set a role to full autonomy once you trust it.

Read-only is a real lock

Make any app read-only and the agent can look but never change a thing. It applies to every agent in the workspace, from their next run.

Every step on the record

Each run shows what it read, what it did and what it sent, step by step, in the Activity tab. Corrections you make stick.

What it won't do.

Won't pretend

If it couldn't confirm something, it leaves it out and says so. A number without a source doesn't go in a message.

Won't go around you

It never messages anyone on your behalf unless you asked, never spends money, and never makes a judgement call about money on its own.

Won't read what isn't shared

Teammates' agents work only through the apps the workspace shares. Your inbox and your personal apps stay under your own login.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Where do I talk to it?

iMessage, WhatsApp, Slack, email or the web app. Link your phone with a code at sign-up and it answers in the same thread you text it in. In a group chat it stays quiet until someone names it.

Where does the data come from?

Your own records: ShipStation, MRPeasy, Shopify, your inbox and your sheets. News comes from web searches, with the source linked. It never fills a gap with a guess.

How does it watch tariff news?

On the schedule you set, it searches the web for duty, tariff and freight news on the products and routes you name, reads the sources and messages you when something changed. It isn't a customs broker, so check a duty rate with yours before you act on it.

Can it do the math?

Yes. It works out lead times, averages and landed costs in code from your data and shows the working in the sheet.

Will it contact suppliers?

Only if you ask, from your connected inbox. Anything to another person waits for your 👍 unless you've set the role to full autonomy, and it never spends money.

Can it look at several suppliers at once?

Yes. A coordinator can split the work between specialists, one per supplier or product line, that run at the same time and hand you one answer.

Can my team use it too?

Yes. Everyone in your workspace gets their own agents. Shipping, inventory and the shared sheets are connected once for the team; personal inboxes stay under each person's own login.

What does it cost?

Every workspace starts with 300 free credits. You add a card at sign-up and nothing is charged until you run low; then it's $25 for 200 credits, with no subscription. A quick reply is about 5 credits and a typical run under 20; plans start at $99 a month.
