Cicada vs Lindy
Lindy and Cicada are both AI you can text, mention in Slack, email and send to meetings. Cicada goes further for a team: every person gets agents that work together, plus WhatsApp, real phone calls and approvals on every channel.
Cicada is built for a team: every person gets their own agents that work together, with a coordinator, specialists and shared business know-how, on iMessage, WhatsApp, Slack and email, with real phone calls and approvals that apply on every channel. Lindy is one assistant per person, with a Gmail extension.
A team of agents for a team of people.
Lindy is one assistant for each person. Cicada gives every person agents, and they work together across the team.
Agents for every person
Each person in your workspace gets their own agents. The apps the team shares are connected once; personal ones, like your inbox, stay under your own login.
A coordinator and specialists
A big job is split between specialists that work at the same time, and you get one answer back from the agent you asked.
Agents that work together
Teammates' agents know what each other covers, use each other's fresh figures and check with each other through the apps you share, never through anyone's private notes.
Know-how the whole team shares
What one agent learns about the business, every agent in the workspace knows, and a skill one agent proves is shared with the rest.

Same idea, more reach
Both are assistants you talk to like a person, in the apps you already use. Cicada adds WhatsApp, common for operations teams and outside the US, one-to-one and in your group chats.
It picks up the phone
Cicada calls suppliers, venues and support lines in a natural voice, from your own number if you like, finds its way through phone menus, and sends you the transcript and recording. Lindy's current docs describe it as message-based.
Where your approvals apply
In Cicada, the autonomy level you set and the per-app Read-only lock apply wherever the agent works: iMessage, WhatsApp, Slack, email or a background job. Lindy's own documentation says its guardrails apply in shared Slack threads and not in Slack DMs, iMessage, SMS or the web chat.

Where Lindy fits

- Memory as versioned files you can browse and edit.
- Published per-person prices and a cheaper first plan.
